Janis received her undergraduate degree in Nursing from Walla Walla University, College Place, Washington, and her Masters in Nursing, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner through Oregon Health & Science University, Portland, Oregon.
Janis is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, credentialed by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, now known as, The American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Janis’ initial plans to become a nurse practitioner were delayed as a young woman when she put her plans on hold to care for her terminally ill mother. It was only after the death of her mother and birth of her three daughters, Rebekah, Rachel and Leah that Janis was able to return to school to become a nurse and nurse practitioner. She has had accumulative experience in a variety of private clinics and hospitals specializing in OBGYN, Pediatrics, Family Practice, and in the NICU at Providence Hospital and Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Since moving to Scottsdale nine years ago, she has appreciated being an integral team member at Scottsdale Center for Women’s Health and working closely with Doctors Webb and Bartels.
Janis believes that by treating each person as an individual, she is best able to help her patients seek optimal, vibrant health. She feels that the patient-provider relationship should reflect that of mutual respect and collaboration. Through this relationship, patients should be empowered to take an active role in their healthcare plans and decisions. Special interests include health promotion and disease prevention, health education, nutrition, hormone therapy, thyroid disorders and weight management. Janis is credentialed as a specialist in Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy through the Foundation for Care Management. She is a member of the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease and the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) and is currently on course for certification through the IFM.
Janis enjoys spending time with her husband Jon of 39 years, her children and grandchildren, friends and her special Havanese dog, Bella. She enjoys playing the piano and violin and being physically active through hiking, biking, swimming, camping and travelling.
Jackie graduated with a Bachelors Degree and Masters degree in Nursing from Duquesne University in Pittsburg, PA. She has experience in cardiac care and college health. After moving to Phoenix 16 years ago and working for the Health Department, in the field of sexually transmitted diseases, she later became involved in women’s health exclusively. Her expertise includes general GYN, hormone evaluations, pellet therapy, as well colposcopic exams / abnormal pap smears. Her particular interest is the care of the menopausal woman using bio identical hormone therapy.
Paula Mazzacano, MSN, WHNP-BC

Paula has been involved in women’s health for over 16 years. She graduated with her Master in Science Degree and became a Woman’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner in 1999. Paula undergoes re-certification in her specialty annually and stays current with the latest advances in her field. She is skilled in many areas of gynecology, such as bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, pellet implantation and management, contraceptive management, breast exams, ultrasounds and colposcopy. She also has particular expertise in the area of endocrinology and infertility.
Paula feels some of her best attributes include being a good listener and compassionate to her patients. Her goal is to provide all patients with personalized high-quality care in a supportive setting. Paula is married and has two children, a son and daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.
RN (Nurse Injector Specialist)
Debbie is a Registered Nurse with 30 plus years of diverse nursing experience. She was born in Buffalo, New York. She has two grown children that she is very proud of and has a passion for golf. Debbie joined Dr. Webb and Bartels OB/GYN practice in 1994. Seven years ago she refocused her education and experience to develop a broad range of aesthetic skills including Botox and several dermal fillers. With Debbie’s artistic eye and knowledge she will provide you with the optimum results you deserve and should expect leaving you with a natural and beautiful look.
Yael is a licensed Para-Medical Aesthetician and Certified Laser Technician who has been administrating professional grade peels and laser treatments for over 15 years. Her work experience ranges from managing skin care spa’s and performing facials to working for plastic surgeons administering deep effective peels and operating lasers for the skin. Her passion is providing a service that makes a difference and educating the public about preventing skin aging and skin cancer.
Gina Tome, FNP-C
Caring for others is Gina’s true calling in life. She can not imagine working in anything but healthcare and is fortunate to have had the ability to fulfill her calling through her career. Gina truly loves caring for her patients and advocating for their well-being. Her goal is to help people feel their very best so they may live longer, more fulfilled lives.
Gina was born in Illinois, and moved to Arizona in 1996. She has been in nursing for over 11 years, and received her Master’s degree from Grand Canyon University in 2017. She has experience in Medical/Surgical Nursing, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and Primary Care. Gina is also board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Prior to working in nursing, she held positions as an LPN, Certified Nurse Assistant, and a Pharmacy tech.
As a Nurse Practitioner, Gina has worked with both men and women optimizing their hormone levels via creams, troches, injections, and pellets. She also has experience in treating and managing thyroid conditions. Restoring low hormone and optimizing thyroid levels is an excellent way to prevent further health comorbidities while helping her patients feel their absolute best.
Charlotte graduated with an AAS degree, in Radiography from Gateway Community College, with honors, in 1992. She then received her Certification in Medical Sonography in 1993, also with honors. She became a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in OB/GYN, in 1993. She has worked in high risk OB/GYN, as well as, with Drs. Webb and Bartels since 1993. She has been with her husband, Greg, since 1980. They have a daughter, who is an ER Nurse. She enjoys reading a good book, hiking and traveling with friends and family. She enjoys performing ultrasounds, you never know what you might find.

Jaki is a certified health and weight loss coach with 10 years’ experience in the medical weight loss field, and she utilizes a collaborative process of assessment to engage and educate her patients in decisions related to achieving and maintaining optimal health and wellness goals through effective coaching on positive lifestyle and habit change, stress reduction, and weight management programs.
Her journey began many years ago when she overcame a debilitating auto-immune disease that left her bedridden for many years, and, to cope with the pain, she mastered the art of self-medication with food and gained nearly 100 pounds. After much research, study, and sheer determination to reclaim her health, she began a quest to learn about nutrition, weight loss, and a healthy lifestyle, and she not only lost that dreaded 100 pounds, she became healthy and active and a certified health coach. As your health and weight loss coach, she brings her expertise, along with her own experience and journey, to bring you the most comprehensive treatment plan individualized for your exact needs.

Aesthetics and CoolSculpting Coordinator
Jamie Ballew is the Aesthetics and CoolSculpting Coordinator at The Scottsdale Center for Women’s Health. In this role, she is responsible for coordinating all Cool Sculpting procedures, patient scheduling and coordination, Customer Satisfaction, and business development. Jamie has a degree in Hospitality Management from Widener University in Philadelphia, a Medical Esthetician Certificate from the National Laser Institute in Dallas, and she has practical experience in both Cool Sculpting and Laser Technology from the Etre Belle Spa in Dallas, Texas. Prior to transitioning to the Medical Esthetician Field, Jamie served as a manager in the VIP Suite section of both the American Airlines Center in Dallas and the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
